The Timerous BeastiesPosted: February 27, 2015
The imagery recorded from my imagination has some significant repetitions among the random and unaccounted for imagery. These are visual stimuli that have occurred during a dream state but also during wakefulness, when entopic phenomena allows my imagination to emerge and become a materialized experience. The repetition evidently represents a pattern in the unconscious processes that Jung would refer to, which contrasts with the imagery that is experienced as random, generally forming from internal visual response to external factors.
An example of repetition whilst obtaining engaging, ornamental material is the work of the Timerous Beasties – two Textile design graduates of Glasgow School of Art who are devoted to pattern design, some of which consisting of scenes of social and natural events including violence, urban settings and short narratives.
