ExternalismPosted: April 16, 2014
After trying to be figurative with the modelling past/brusho work, I continued to work into this large piece by depicting expansion of mind, and externalism. I have steered the coloured brusho out from the heads to display how your mind effects everything you perceive; what you perceive derives from your mind in the first place, reflecting your own mind onto what you see. I’m not massively keen on this outcome because I think it needs working into more to create more interest, although I do like the way the brusho has ventured down among the crevices of the coarse textured paint. I’d love to attempt this idea with more skilful painting of the figures, to see if that would look more complete than this one.
